FAQs

What is Xeomin?

Xeomin is a prescription medication and is injected into muscles to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, similar to that of Botox. However, Xeomin has a slightly different composition but still contains botulinum toxin type A.

What is Dysport?

Dysport is also a neurotoxin, like Botox and Xeomin. Dysport is better used for larger surface areas, like the forehead, as it diffuses more easily than Botox or Xeomin.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are not to be confused for neurotoxin injections (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport), as they freeze muscles to reduce wrinkles. Dermal fillers are injectable implants that go right under the skin to fill and smooth desired areas. Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring product on your body and is found in many skincare products.

How does microneedling work?

Microneedling is a simple procedure that uses very fine needles to break down old scar tissue and stimulate collagen production. When the needle enters your skin it creates a tiny wound that triggers your body’s natural wound response which involves producing more collagen and elastin fibers. This helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scars.
